On Sept 20 Custer School District students will again have the opportunity for another World Fest experience. Hailing from the village of Pengosekan, Çudamani performs a highly creative musical and dance repertoire that is vibrant, technical, and free spirited. Evoking both contemporary vitality and dedication to Balinese traditions, the ensemble brings to life vivid tales of gods, heroes, and the cosmos in Balinese mythology. All will enjoy the inspired and complex tones of Çudamani and be instantly transported to the rich and diverse islands of Indonesia.
Çudamani is made possible through a grant to the Hill City Arts Council in conjunction with Custer Area Arts Council from Arts Midwest. Its purpose is to foster an understanding of and appreciation for global uniqueness and differences. The school workshops will last approximately 50 minutes and will guarantee an opportunity to learn, experience music, interact with the group and a time for question and answers. Community members are also invited to attend the school workshops.
